Cacao Ceremony + Breathwork: Healing from the Inside Out (90 Mins)

Cacao Circle

Historically, cacao has been shared by the people of Central America in ceremony as a way to connect more deeply to their hearts and their inner knowing while holding space and connecting with their community.

The ceremonial grade cacao is ethically grown and which means it is a native, unmodified stain off the traditional lands and is produced using the whole bean and traditional stone ground techniques.

This cacao circle ceremony will invite you to pause, to surrender the mundane thoughts and to come back to your body and your heart. It will present an opportunity to foster true connection through sharing what’s in your hearts or set intentions for the day over a warp cup of cacao.

**Please advise at least 48 hours in advance of the event if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the following ingredients: Whole cacao beans, panela, chile, vanilla beans, oranges, ginger, coconut oil, Celtic sea salt.

Breathwork - Healing from the Inside Out

Breathing is the only essential body function that can be both consciously and subconsciously controlled. By consciously stepping into a specific breath pattern we are invited to connect to our body, to quiet the mind and listen to that inner voice of knowing. Breathwork is especially helpful to those who find mediation challenging as it gives the mind something to focus on while allowing the conscious brain to switch into observer mode. Breathwork allows us to release suppressed emotions, memories and creates space to welcome in the quiet and the new. Other benefits of Breathwork include: stress reduction, shift from the sympathetic (stress) to the parasympathetic (rest) nervous system, improved mental clarity, improved immunity, improved sleep quality, better blood PH balance, improved digestion, it releases muscle and fascial tension, just to name a handful. Most importantly Breathwork provides the opportunity to pause; and remember the peace that is accessible within. It’s time to start trusting in your own power to heal from the inside out.

Yoga Retreat

Bonnie Bridges

8:30 AM
Yoga Yin/Yang Balance (60 Mins)

Much of modern life carries yang energy. This is associated with activity, heat, and speed. It is more dynamic and vigorous in nature. In contrast, yin energy is slower, gentler, and cooler. All things in the material universe are made of an interplay between these two energies. If one examines the yin/yang symbol, one will notice that within yin, there is a portion of yang, and vice versa.

In a yin/yang yoga practice, both energetic natures are addressed. It is a harmonious blend that integrates the dynamic energy of flow yoga with the gentle, introspective nature of yin yoga, creating a comprehensive practice that nurtures both body and mind.

The class will begin with grounding and the establishment of a sense of presence on the mat. An invigorating hatha flow sequence will follow, designed to awaken the body, build heat, and cultivate awareness of breath and movement. This dynamic phase helps release physical tension, improves circulation, and builds strength. At the latter half, the class transitions into the yin phase, where practitioners are invited to slow down and explore deeper stretches, held for extended periods. These yin postures target areas of the body that may be tight or restricted, promoting flexibility, mobility, and the release of deeply held tension.

By utilizing both movement and stillness, practitioners can work on the physical body while also cultivating a sense of resilience, inner peace, and balance.

Bonnie Bridges is a bibliophile, glamper and optimist. She is an avid student of yoga, a mother, and a northern B.C. gal calling southern Alberta home. She wants to be your fan because she believes in you as an individual, as we are all ultimately connected. Shamanism & Spirit Guide Journey

Shamanism is the oldest spiritual system in the world, dating back thousands of years. Every culture across the globe appears to have practiced some form of shamanism, if you look back far enough. Although there were and are some distinct differences, one of the central aspects of all shamanic practices is connecting with spirit guides for wisdom and healing.

The last several decades has seen a resurgence in both traditional shamanic practices, as well as modern non-culturally-specific approaches. This means that anyone can tap into the benefits of shamanism, either by working with a practitioner or by learning to connect with their own spirit guides.

You will get a brief overview of common shamanic techniques, ranging from wisdom journeys to healing generational traumas. Then dive into the diverse world of compassionate spirit guides. Power animals, ancestral spirits, ascended masters, and even archetypal beings. Each of us has many spirit guides, whether you know it or not, just waiting to support you. And to challenge you to grow in a healthy way.

In the spirit (pun intended) of self-empowerment, sacred space with be opened up to guide attendees into a journey to meet one of their spirit guides! With this basic background in shamanic techniques, and the support of your own guides, you will leave the session understanding how to begin safely exploring the world of shamanic wisdom and healing yourself.

Eric MacNaughton is a shamanic practitioner, facilitator, futurist, and recovering engineer. He was first called to follow the path of the shaman during a spontaneous non-dual spiritual experience in the Rockies over 15 years ago. Since then, Eric has had the good fortune to train with some amazing shamanic practitioners in Canada and Scandinavia. But, as any good shaman will tell you, his deepest learning has come from his spirit guides themselves.

Keeping a foot firmly planted in each world, Eric practices shamanism with clients part-time while learning to weave the grounded wisdom of the spirit world into his professional career. He also loves to write vivid stories of his journeys for his clients – you can read about some of his more memorable, and often humorous, journeys at his website intotheunknown.ca
